my STORY

Creating is about sharing ideas, sharing aesthetics, sharing what you believe in with other people.
— Shepard Fairey

My screen printing journey began over a decade ago by cleaning screens, part-time, for a growing, family owned shop here in Spokane, WA. I grew with the company, moving up to printer, then designing, to color separation and finally production manager. I quickly realized how rewarding of a process it was for me. I ended up taking a detour to shake my life up and went down to L.A. to work with an amazing record label for a few years. While on a visit back home in the NW, I saw someone walking down the street wearing something I had designed and printed years ago. It reminded me of the pride that it brought about. It reignited my passion for creation and art that I had left behind to see if the grass was greener in So Cal. It wasn’t.

That’s when the idea of CorpoRAT Printshop was conceived. I officially started construction in January of 2013 and was printing my first orders by the end of the summer. I wanted to do make my services available to all my friends; the small businesses, the bands & musicians, artists and the creators.

My goal is simple, to utilize my 15+ years of education and deliver the pride and passion I put into my printing/designing for those who need it. This shops’ services are available to anyone who seeks out high quality, retail-ready printing without having to feel like or be treated as a number or faceless cog in a wheel.

Let’s have fun! Screen printing is an incredibly powerful visual medium, bright, colorful, gritty and as original as every customer who comes in! I truly care about each and every job that is brought through my door. I love the collaborative nature of this industry and helping to facilitate bringing someones idea to life. Plucking a thought from thin air and participating in the process that makes it a tangible, real object in our world. Refining, articulating, creating. It is getting to relive the wonder of seeing a magic show when you’re young, every time ink is forced through a screen, revealing the first print.

I feel very fortunate that people seek my shop out because they know I will do everything I can to give them the best looking prints, each and every time. I get to experience milestones with people, produce things that they will hold onto for years and years and years. They’re more than just t-shirts or posters or stickers to me. They are memories. They are tokens that populate great times or significant events throughout peoples lives. They get passed down, resold, gifted and re-worn. They help define people. They are windows into what people want you to know about them without having to utter a word. Creation is magic.
